Caroline Banks will be running the second in the autumn series of Drawing and Painting in the Garden Sessions
She writes “My aim for the group is to create a non-judgemental and ‘safe’ environment conducive to the enjoyment of drawing and painting, and to encourage experimentation as well as creative play. The purpose is not only for participants to gains skills but also to increase confidence and enjoyment of the process. I am keen to quieten the voice of censorship that so many people hear when trying something new, or even taking up drawing again”
There will be a different theme to each session including mark-making and observational drawing.
Each session will begin with 2 – 3 warm-up exercises in order to loosen people up and to encourage the process. Some people might just want to use the time and space to do their own thing, but everyone would be encouraged to play and experiment.
All materials will be provided, but do bring your own if you would like to try out something different
