Want to learn about Japanese “Shibori” resist dying techniques?
Come and join textile our workshop with designer Rob Jones who specialises in the Japanese resist dyeing technique “Shibori”, derived from the Japanese verb Shiboru, meaning to wring or to squeeze. Rob works out of a studio under an old railway arch in Hackney and teaches Shibori at various venues in and around London.

“Maki nui” – twist stitch

People are welcome to bring small pieces of fabric from home to dye as long as they are not huge bits!! (say napkin sized would be okay).
